My name is Kate McKinsey.

 

I have been a resident of Northern Illinois my whole life. 

 

I was originally introduced to the significance of historical buildings when my family and I visited and toured various locally and nationally historic sites.

Now, as a journalism student at Northern Illinois University, I have begun to research and photograph historical buildings within the region. On my blog, I will share the information and the pictures I have collected.
